Problems installing CoP Empty Problems installing CoP

K, same thing happened to G I remember. Couldn't find the thread saying what he did, but here's my problem.

Downloaded and installed Vista-compatible PoL Viewer from PoL website, installed FFXI+Zilart from the CD's. CoP installer keeps crashing on me now.

Posting on here in hopes of someone giving me a solution before I find one on BG or something else. I'm assuming it's a Vista problem. tongue

This is what I've done on all new/alternate PCs since my original install of the game years ago (install Vista POL first):

No downloading updates, no losing your macros, dat mods, config settings, etc.

Was considering that, but I wasn't sure if any of the files/reg keys would have compatibility issues since i'd be copying from XP to Vista.

Nope. I've done it twice now from XP to Vista. The only thing to watch for is if one of your systems is 64 bit and the other isn't, because the registry keys will need to be altered to reflect the 64bit registry path.
